Important Conference Information

When is the annual NERSC conference?

The 28th Annual NERSC Conference: Reimagining Resident Services is scheduled to take place Tuesday, April 28 - Friday, May 1, 2026.

Where is the annual NERSC conference?

Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort located at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville, CT 06382.

When does registration open?

Conference registration opens to members on Monday, January 26, 2026, and to guests/non-members on Monday, February 2, 2026. The last day to register for the conference is Thursday, April 9, 2026.

How much does it cost to attend the conference?

Conference registration is $725 for members and $825 for guests/non-members. If you register by Thursday, March 5, 2026, there is an early bird discount. The early bird discount is $675 for members and $775 for guests/non-members. To attend for a single day, Wednesday or Thursday only, tickets are $425.

Is there a single day registration option?

Yes, you can sign-up to attend a single day. To attend for a single day, Wednesday or Thursday only, tickets are $425.

Is there an early bird discount?

Yes! If you register by Thursday, March 5, 2026, there is an early bird discount. The early bird discount is $675 for members and $775 for guests/non-members.

When is the last day to register for the annual NERSC conference?

The last day to register for the annual conference is Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Is there a hotel room block?

Yes! There is a hotel room block at Mohegan Sun for NERSC attendees. The hotel room rate is $212 plus 15% state occupancy tax and $18 facility fee per night. Attendees usually book a three night stay with arrival on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 and departure on Friday, May 1, 2026. While the last day to book your hotel room is Tuesday, April 7, 2026, please understand that the block may sell out BEFORE this date. This means that if the hotel block sells out, the special discounted rate will no longer be available and the rate shown will reflect the current selling rate. You must both register for the conference and make your hotel accommodations as having one does not guarantee the other.

 

Who attends the conference?

Resident Service Coordinators (RSCs), Social Workers, Property Managers, Resident Engagement Coordinators, Resident Service Directors, Directors of Resident Services, Community Coordinators, and other affordable housing professionals.

Can I pay for the conference by check?

Yes; however, all check payments are due by Thursday, March 5, 2026. To pay by check, select "bill me" as your method of payment on the registration check-out page. If you select "Bill Me" as your method of payment, you are responsible for sending your event invoice to your accounting department to submit payment. Please mail checks to P.O. Box 81, Fall River, MA 02722, and include the invoice number on the check memo. ALL CHECK PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 5, 2026. IF YOUR CHECK PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED, YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CANCELLED.

Can I pay for the conference with a credit card?

Yes, credit card payments are accepted and due at the time of registration. The last day to register for the conference is Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Are meals provided at the conference?

Yes. Every effort will be made to accommodate allergy and dietary requests made in advance. Attendees have the option to bring their own meals or purchase food from elsewhere. There will be a breakfast buffet available to registered attendees Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and a lunch buffet available Wednesday and Thursday. Spouses and guests of registered attendees are NOT permitted to partake.

Are workshops authorized by NASW?

NERSC will be applying for NASW authorization. Upon NERSC’s approval of NASW authorization, all attendees will receive NASW credits. There is no additional cost to attendees.

How do I earn attendance credit and CEUs?

In order to receive attendance credit, attendees are required to: 1. register for the workshop; 2. sign into the workshop by scanning the unique session IN QR code using the Conference App; 3. sign out of the workshop by scanning the unique session OUT QR code using the Conference App; and 4. complete the survey for each workshop. 

Is there a conference app?

Yes, we use the Conference Attendee app developed by Engineerica. You can download the app to your phone through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. It is the GREEN icon. You will use the app to view your registered sessions, session locations, scan session QR codes, complete your session surveys, connect with other attendees and sponsors, and receive important event notifications. If you attended last year's conference, it is the same app. You will login using the email address you registered with for this year's conference. Login invitations will be sent to attendees in April.

How many CEUs can I earn at the conference?

You can earn up to 14.5 CEUs in a variety of HUD training areas. 

Is there a maximum attendance limit per workshop?

Yes, there are a maximum number of attendees per workshop. We recommend reviewing the workshop guide, and noting your selected classes before you register for the conference. Workshops will fill up fast. You can only earn attendance credit in the workshops you have registered to attend.

What is the conference cancellation policy?

By March 5, 2026: Registrants may cancel their registration without penalty and receive a full refund. Requests for cancellation must be emailed to info@nerscinc.org.

By April 9, 2026: Registrants may cancel their registration and NERSC will issue a 50% refund. If payment has not yet been received, the registrant is responsible for paying the remaining 50% balance. The registrant will not be able to attend NERSC events, including but not limited to live webinars or future conferences, until the balance is paid. If the registrant is no longer with the company that they registered under, the company is responsible for paying the outstanding balance. Requests for cancellation must be emailed to info@nerscinc.org.

After April 9, 2026: No refunds will be granted. If payment has not yet been received, then the registrant will not be able to attend NERSC events, including but not limited to live webinars or future conferences, until the full balance is paid. If the registrant is no longer with the company that they registered under, the company is responsible for paying the outstanding balance. Requests for cancellation must be emailed to info@nerscinc.org.

If NERSC cancels or postpones the 28th Annual NERSC Conference, we will issue a full refund. To further support NERSC and our educational mission, registrants will be provided the opportunity to convert their registration fee into a 100% registration credit that can be used within 12 months of the date of the event toward any NERSC offering.
