NERSC's is proud to welcome back Kwame Christian, Esq. after his very popular and important webinar on How to Talk About Race in the Workplace. This session, Exploring Implicit Bias and Preventing Negative Impacts will help us to develop an understanding of how the brain works as it relates to connecting with people of different backgrounds. Kwame will demonstrate how this can influence decisions and interactions that we may have with residents, colleagues and other members of our community. We learn to recognize what problematic personal preferences lie beneath our consciousness, helping us to make more informed decisions and connect with others. We will leave with the tools necessary to prevent unintentional negative impacts and how to use our new understanding to create trust and deep connections.
