Presented by Jessica Sheeran, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) & Kevin Reino, Regional Public Affairs Specialist at the Social Security Administration (SSA)
This course will present a high level view of Social Security retirement benefits and Medicare. The course will review how an individual can qualify for benefits, when they can begin receiving benefits, and the types of benefits offered by Social Security and Medicare. In addition to learning Medicare program basics, other programs assisting people with limited income and resources will be reviewed.
Jessica Sheeran has over 20 years of experience in the public health and human service field. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her trainings ensure that SSA recipients are well equipped with having the resources and knowledge to better their daily lives. Kevin Reino holds a Masters degree from University of Massachusetts Boston and has been working within the public health sector for over a decade. He provides trainings throughout New England on SSA benefits, requirements, and eligibility. Both presenters believe that knowledge is power and seek to ensure that all receipts are well-equipped with navigating the benefits process.
